About Mount Pleasant

The first year for the new Mount Pleasant franchise had them play in the Dearborn Regional, where they placed 3rd at 1-2. Their first national tournament was over quickly, with loses to Detroit (13-1) and Ann Arbor (12-1).

The 1975 Oakland University squad won a play-in series against Zanesville 2-games to 1, and then had the best national tournament finish for the franchise. Their seventh place finished was buoyed by wins over Cincinnati (5-4 in 10) and Philadelphia (6-2) at Franklin. They were eliminated by loses to Detroit and Buffalo.

The 1976 Lansing NARC team finished winless in their last appearance in Johnstown. Due to the Johnstown Flood of 1977, Mount Pleasant's final tournament was played in Altoona. After opening with a 6-3 loss to Zanesville at Mansion Park, they stayd alive by defeating New Brunswick 4-3 at Veteran's Memorial Field. The franchise's final game came on Friday at Fairview where they lost to Cincinnati 18-1.
