About Elk County

Playing against the likes of Baltimore, New Orleans, and Washington, Elk County was always a small fish in a big pond. Despite this disadvantage, the franchise managed to put on a few spirited seasons during their short existence. The team played its first games in 1997, advancing past Schenectady in a qualifying round, but finishing winless in the national tournament. The Keystone State Baseball Academy from Dubois won the franchise's first games in 1998, first over Columbus 5-0 in Nanty Glo, and then over Milford 18-8.

The Elks last win came in 2006, with a victory over Schenectady at Roxbury Park. Rawley Cogan's Northern Tier Rookies nearly upset Brooklyn in 2011, but lost a rain-soaked 7-6 nailbiter at the Point Stadium.

The Elk County franchise is no longer active following the collapse of the Continental Collegiate League in 2012.
