About Buffalo

Buffalo, New York competed in its 50th national tournament in 2010, finishing in 8th place at 2-2. The franchise is only 27-52 since 1980 and has finished winless in 10 of those years. However, the earlier years were very successful for the Nickel City.

From 1951 to 1980, Buffalo compiled a 53-48 record and finished as national runners-up 5 times. They are tied with Johnstown for the dubious distinction of most runner-up finishes without a championship.

While some franchises have seen one club dominate their representation for long stretches, the Buffalo AAABA League has seen new faces represent the city nearly every season. 27 different clubs have carried the Buffalo banner. The last two teams to repeat as representative were the Meridian Medicine in 2005 and 2007 and Royal Printing in 2000 and 2014.

Buffalo has 1 regional championship--1984 in Livonia, where they defeated Youngstown, Zanesville and Lansing and finished with a 4-1 record.
