About Allentown

Allentown was represented by three teams during its 23 seasons. First, the Eagles (1952-1954), then the Downtown Youth Center (1955-1968), and finally the Parkland Athletic Club. The franchise's best year was in 1972 when Charles "Cookie" Hauze's club placed 3rd with a 4-2 record. That included a 2-1 win over Washington at Roxbury Park and a 4-3 victory over Pittsburgh at Point Stadium. Baltimore eliminated Allentown 5-4 in the semi-finals before besting Detroit for the championship.

Allentown finished in top-8 three other times, with a 2-2 finished in 1955, 1961, and 1967. Their clubs finished winless 5 times.
